I don't think these poems are all good, though some of them seem to be, several of them fail to embarrass me despite looking at them years later. >:) I might even write more. Tens years with next to none is a tad too long...

What's important is that they are an honest record of many things. I don't keep diaries, beyond a few rare notes on misplaced paper scraps, terse single phrases about some event or other. I sometimes find them when looking for other stuff. I'd forget the order of many events from a decade ago, and recently I realised how much so because the dating and substance of these poems is a far better record than any other, so I value them for that if nothing else.

Some of them I value in their own right, and sometimes it might be one of the sillier ones, either because it turned out to be truer than I knew at the time, or because it can make me feel better when I read it. Some of them are petulant and annoying, but not many, and I will leave them as is. One thing I am VERY strict about: change nothing. During the writing I'll change anything, but I always decide a point where it is done, and it stays that way. After that moment, not a letter or a bit of punctuation, or even a line indent, gets changed. I think this is why it became so useful a record of past events as well as anything else.

What you make of all this is up to you. Well, I copied the 'disclaimer' page from my Ghost guide to use here, so I might as well have some ostensible reason for doing it, beyond standardising the sorts of links I put in the little icons on the index lists...
